Ex-Audi CEO Stadler charged over his role in emissions scandal

Stadler, who was once seen as a possible contender for VW Group’s top job, is accused of having been aware of the emissions manipulations since the end of September 2015 and not preventing the sale of affected Audi and VW vehicles thereafter.
